Elections in Uganda

Uganda's elections allow eligible citizens to choose the President, Members of Parliament and local government representatives through secret ballots. The Electoral Commission (EC) registers voters, organizes polling, counts votes and publishes results, while handling initial electoral complaints. Voting requires Ugandan citizenship, age 18 or older and entry in the National Voters Register; registration and the Voter Location Slip are free.
