Saint Lucia's religious landscape is Christian-dominated, plural and partly fragmented. The 2022 provisional census used a reference population of 171,834 and recorded 86,967 Roman Catholics, 18,601 Seventh-day Adventists and 15,515 Pentecostals. It also recorded 3,760 Mennonites, 2,987 Baptists, 2,463 Rastafarians, 2,191 Anglicans, 1,353 Jehovah's Witnesses, 664 Methodists, 292 Muslims, 253 Hindus and a further 66 people recorded under Hinduism. The figures included 514 atheists, 24,252 people reporting no religion but belief in God, 3,854 in other categories and 7,064 who did not report a religion. These figures are provisional and do not establish a complete directory of every congregation or community. Other established local terms include the Bahai Faith and Faith-Based Organization, commonly shortened to FBO.
Religion in Saint Lucia

Constitutional protections cover religious belief, worship, teaching and observance, while schools, public holidays, marriages and community registration follow specific local rules.
Tip
Use a local congregation as the first access point for worship, teaching and observance, but confirm its current arrangements directly because census shares do not show which communities are available in every area. Separate religious choices from legal and administrative steps: school opt-outs, public-holiday planning, faith-based organization recognition, religious marriage and civil-status records each follow different rules. Keep written evidence of requests, approvals, fees, dates and signed records whenever a decision affects school, work, marriage or organizational status.
