Living in Nigeria
Nigeria is located in West Africa on the Gulf of Guinea and has around 195.9 million people. The country stretches from the dry Sahel zone in the north through savannas and river landscapes to tropical, humid areas in the south; along the coast, the climate is usually warm and rainy, with regionally varying rainy seasons. In Lagos, Abuja, and other major cities, many people live in densely built neighborhoods, travel by bus, taxi, or motorcycle, and work in trade, services, industry, or the digital economy. In rural areas, agriculture, smaller towns, and longer distances shape daily life. Families, markets, music, and football connect many regions, while housing and leisure activities vary greatly depending on income, city, and landscape.
