Living in Montenegro

Montenegro lies on the eastern Adriatic coast in Southeast Europe and has around 622.345 people. The small country stretches from coastal cities across the karst to high mountains and deep gorges. Summers on the Adriatic are hot and dry, while inland and in the mountains it is considerably cooler, with snow falling in winter. Many people live in apartments in cities or houses in villages; on the coast, seasonal tourism shapes everyday life, while agriculture, crafts, and small businesses are more important in the north. People usually travel by car or bus. Leisure time is spent by the sea, in nature, or with family.
