State in Macedonia

North Macedonia is a sovereign, independent, democratic and social unitary state governed by the 1991 Constitution and its amendments. The Sobranie is the unicameral Assembly, the Government exercises executive power, and the directly elected President represents the state and serves as commander-in-chief. Local self-government operates through 80 municipalities and the City of Skopje, while eight planning regions coordinate development without forming an autonomous government level.

Tip

Start by identifying whether your matter belongs to a national authority, a municipality or the City of Skopje, because the responsible body determines the documents, fees, deadlines and review options. Use uslugi.gov.mk when the service supports electronic identification and online processing, but keep the counter or paper option in mind. Preserve every submission, response and deadline so you can choose the correct complaint or oversight channel if the authority does not resolve the matter.
