State in Liechtenstein

Liechtenstein is a constitutional hereditary monarchy founded on democratic and parliamentary principles. State authority rests with the Landesfürst and the people, while the constitution protects fundamental rights, the rule of law and the separation of powers. Vaduz is the capital and the seat of the Landtag and Government. The state is organised into two landscapes and eleven municipalities with substantial local autonomy.

Tip

Treat Liechtenstein's administration as a service-specific system: identify the responsible office, check its exact requirements and use the stated submission channel. Use municipal authorities for genuinely local matters, but check whether a national approval is also required. Keep written proof of submissions, deadlines, fees and decisions because the correct route depends on the subject.
