Elections in Guinea

Elections in Guinea allow eligible voters to choose national and local representatives or decide constitutional, legislative and territorial questions by referendum. Guinea uses direct elections for the presidency, National Assembly, regional councils, communal councils and referendums, while the Senate is chosen indirectly. Voting requires Guinean citizenship, civic and political rights, registration on a residence-based voter list and a voter card.
