Crime in Grenada

The most common everyday risks are unattended-item theft, villa or vehicle burglary and other opportunistic offences. Armed robbery and sexual assault occur less often but can cause serious harm. Officially recorded figures are not a current victimization survey: OAS and UN-CTS submissions cover different years from 2011 to 2024. In 2023, the recorded figures included 16 intentional homicides, a rate of 13.68, 11 attempted homicides and 272 sexual-violence cases, including 119 rapes, 31 sexual assaults and 122 other cases. An attempted offence or suspicious activity can also be reported. Do not confront or pursue a suspected offender. Record the time, place, description, vehicle and registration number, and preserve photographs, messages, transaction records and other digital evidence. No verified general online crime-reporting portal or published standard response-time guarantee was identified, and no general police-report fee was documented.
