Transport in Barbados

Barbados relies mainly on buses, private minibuses, ZRs, taxis and cars for daily travel; there is no active public passenger railway. The state-run Barbados Transport Board charges BDS$3.50 in cash for a bus journey, while official visitor information gives the same fare for minibuses. Left-hand traffic brings specific rules for driving licences, vehicles, seat belts, child seats and accidents. At Grantley Adams International Airport and Bridgetown Port, taxis, rental cars, buses and ship connections supplement the transport network.
