Arrival in Andorra

Arriving in Andorra involves entry conditions, lawful residence, first accommodation, local registration and access to essential services. Andorra is outside Schengen, and entry through France or Spain follows the relevant Schengen rules; tourist or entry status does not itself grant residence. After settling, register with the Comú in the relevant parròquia, arrange CASS coverage where eligible, and obtain the documents needed for healthcare, school and everyday administration.

Tip

Treat arrival in Andorra as a linked sequence: secure the correct residence pathway, acceptable accommodation proof and local registration before relying on healthcare, school or other services. Choose the pathway that matches your work, family and residence situation, because entry or tourist status alone does not provide residence. The main risks are missing documents, delayed appointments, unsuitable accommodation evidence and late registration with the Comú.
