Living in the United States
The United States is located in North America between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and stretches from Canada to Mexico; around 327.2 million people live in the vast country. Its landscape includes coasts, prairies, forests, deserts, and high mountain ranges. Accordingly, the climate and seasons vary greatly: the north has cold winters, the south often has mild, warm months, while the west features dry areas and the Pacific coast experiences varied weather patterns. Daily life depends greatly on where you live. In large cities, many people live in apartments and use buses, subways, or cars; outside urban areas, houses and cars are generally more important. Work, leisure, and housing costs differ significantly between regions, from densely populated metropolitan areas to rural communities.
