Apprenticeship in Zimbabwe

An apprenticeship in Zimbabwe combines supervised workplace training in a designated trade with theory and practical instruction at an approved technical institution. The formal pathway uses a registered apprentice, a registered employer, a prescribed contract and HEXCO assessment before certification. Vocational training centres and other providers offer additional technical and entrepreneurship pathways, while informal practice does not provide a uniform national apprenticeship certificate.
