Disasters in Togo

Disasters in Togo include floods, severe storms, drought, fires, landslides, coastal erosion and epidemic or animal and crop disease emergencies that threaten people, livelihoods or critical infrastructure. The National Agency for Civil Protection (ANPC) coordinates prevention, warnings, rescue, evacuation, relief and recovery with public authorities and response partners. Flooding is the most frequent natural-hazard complex, while exposure differs between Grand Lomé, river basins, the northern regions and the coast.
