Living in Qatar

Qatar is located on a peninsula in the Persian Gulf and has around 2.8 million inhabitants. The country is predominantly flat and characterized by desert areas, sparse vegetation, and a long coastline. Summers are very hot and humid, while winters are milder and more pleasant; rain is rare. Daily life is strongly concentrated in Doha, where people live in apartments, high-rise buildings, or villas and get around by car, bus, and metro. Jobs are found mainly in energy, construction, trade, services, and administration. In their free time, many people meet in shopping malls, along the waterfront promenade, or for sports and family activities. Outside the capital, life is quieter, with smaller towns and greater distances.
