Living in Namibia

Namibia is located in southwestern Africa on the Atlantic Ocean and has around 2.4 million people. The landscape ranges from the dry Namib Desert and the Atlantic coast to vast savannas, rocky areas, and the more fertile north. The climate is generally hot and dry; cold sea air often keeps the coast cooler, while the north experiences more pronounced rainy seasons. Many people live in cities such as Windhoek, while others live in smaller towns or rural settlements. In everyday life, long distances, cars, and regional bus connections play an important role. People work in administration, trade, mining, agriculture, and tourism, among other fields. Leisure time is spent in clubs, with family, or in nature.
