Apprenticeship in North Korea

North Korea provides several forms of initial vocational education for entry into technical and occupational work. Formal pathways include vocational schools lasting about one to two years and technical colleges lasting about three and a half to four years. Training combines centrally guided theory with practical work, but current admission rules, costs, qualifications and job placement are not transparently documented.
