Elections in Cameroon

Elections in Cameroon choose the President, members of the National Assembly, municipal representatives and, through indirect voting or appointment, members of the Senate and Regional Councils. Elections Cameroon (ELECAM) manages voter registration, polling and much of the electoral administration, while the Constitutional Council reviews and proclaims results for presidential, parliamentary and senatorial elections. Voting rights generally require Cameroonian nationality, age 20 or above, residence or another statutory connection to the relevant area, and registration on the electoral register.
