Consumer protection in Bolivia

Consumer protection in Bolivia is based mainly on Ley 453, DS 2130 and sector-specific regulators. Consumers have rights to safety, truthful information, the total price in national currency, equal treatment, suitable performance and remedies such as repair, replacement or repayment. Complaints usually begin with the provider and then move to the competent regulator or the Vice-Ministry for the Defence of User and Consumer Rights.
