Transport in the Bahamas

Transport in the Bahamas relies mainly on roads, domestic flights, ferries and boats because the country consists of many islands. Public buses are found mainly on New Providence and Grand Bahama; on the Family Islands, taxis, rental cars, shuttles and boats provide a larger share of mobility. There is no functioning nationwide rail network.
